About ERV

Energy recovery Ventilation Unit

What is an Energy recovery Ventilation Unit?

It is a mechanical air circulating unit that uses special thermal pulp and functional corrugating medium as the heat exchanging elements. The heat contained in the discharged air heats/cools the heat exchanging medium located between the outdoor air and the returning air as it passes through plates. The heat of the plate is transferred to the supply air, and the indoor air is circulated through the honeycombed heat exchanger.

What Is Energy Recovery Ventilator System?

It refers to the systematized heat exchanger that makes the outgoing indoor heat during ventilation return into the space. It transfers 70% or more of the temperature. While cooling, it uses the dry and cool exhaust air to dehumidify and cool the outdoor air. While heating, it uses the exhaust energy to humidify and heat the outdoor air. In this way, it saves energy required for cooling and heating.

Features of Energy Recovery Ventilator

  • Preservation of the indoor temperature during ventilation: It boasts its capability to recover heat by 70% or more and maintain the indoor temperature with little change through ventilation.
  • Cooling and heating cost reduction: It saves the energy cost by 70% or more when compared to natural ventilation.
  • Outstanding ventilation effect: It adopts the bi-directional forced ventilation method which discharges exhaust air and supply air, which produces an exceptional effect.
With the capability to discharge contaminated indoor air, supply fresh air and collect dust excellently, it purifies contaminants and prevents inflow of harmful substances into the room.
  • Compensating for drawbacks of air purifiers: It removes harmful substances such as CO₂ and radon gas to keep the indoor clean.

Functions of Energy Recovery Ventilator

Energy recovery ventilator with an air cleaning function

The energy recovery ventilator with an air cleaning function uses a H13 class 40T HEPA filter to purify the indoor air cleanly.

Energy recovery ventilator with a bypass function

The energy recovery ventilator with a bypass function has the bypass structure added. The bypass function refers to ventilation using the fresh outdoor air without using the total heat exchange elements in the intermediate seasons (spring, autumn). The bypass operation saves energy and has the effect of extending the service life of the heat exchange elements.

General energy recovery ventilator

The energy recovery ventilator is an economical ventilation system that filters out contaminants in the incoming outdoor air through the inner filter in the system and recycles the thermal energy of the internal air to reduce the cooling and heating cost.
